Luxury Homes sold over $2,500,000 in 2006

Only two waterfront homes sold for more than $2,500,000 in 2006, but you can expect that number to rise dramatically in the next few years.  There are currently 10 homes for sale over $2,500,000, and one pending contract for a home that is $3,200,000. 

The Woodhaven home was the personal vacation home for the developer of the Villages, so needless to say, that was the prime waterfront lot in the development, and the price reflects that.  The Seneca house was on a main channel lot in presitgous Porto Cima and was a beautiful and impressive home as well.

UPDATE: RE/MAX Lake of the Ozarks represented a buyer of a $3,000,000 waterfront home in the Villages that closed in January of 2007. This property sold for $375 per square foot (land value included) and no dock.
